Capturing transfer requests

A transfer request should be captured for a child who is already allocated to a service or a program and who wishes to be considered for a move from the currently allocated service / program to a new service or program. Transfer requests can be relevant to either This Year or Next Year.


Transfer requests can be captured in 3 different ways, including

  • Service submits on behalf of the family using the Quick Action Buttons: Accessed from the child record, select either the This Year (TY) or Next Year (NY) ADD TRANSFER REQUEST quick action button and complete the form with a families transfer request
  • Send a Transfer Request template to the family on request: a templated email is available to be sent to families who wish to add their name to a transfer list. Please send the "TY - Transfer Request" or "NY - Transfer Request to the family. For more information about sending emails refer here
  • Offer Acceptance process includes option for families to Accept and submit a transfer request: Some customers may wish to provide an option to families at the time of offer (generally made available only for children not allocated to their 1st preference). To implement this options please contact your Customer Success Manager


Once a transfer request has been submitted, the child record will be updated with 

  • the new preferences
  • the TY / NY Transfer Status for the child will be updated to "Active Request"
  • the TY / NY Latest Transfer Submitted Date 

All active Requests can be viewed in the TY - Active Request and NY - Active Request Child Views.
