Overview of EnrolNow's Downstream Solution

The Downstream Sync is an API-based integration that enables automatic data sharing between a Council’s Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme (CRES) EnrolNow system and a kindergarten's separate EnrolNow system

Where both a Council and the Kindergarten use EnrolNow, the Downstream Sync facilitates efficient and timely transfer of allocated children’s records. This connection ensures child, parent and program data is "pushed" from the Council’s system (the Upstream system) to your service’s system (the Downstream system), removing the need for manual handover of allocation information.

Key Benefits

The Downstream system will receive key allocation details enabling them to embark on their enrolment process.

This streamlines processes by:

  • Removing the need to manually add children following offer acceptance
  • Reducing administrative burden and data entry errors
  • Providing immediate visibility of allocation updates
  • Ensuring child and parent data is shared in a secure and private manner

Different approaches by CRES

Based on each CRES's policy, a child's record will be automatically created or updated in the Downstream EnrolNow system. The councils policy will define whether this occurs upon allocation, acceptance of an offer or on a defined date each year. To understand more about the various approaches taken please click below

A note on communication: Downstream makes sharing allocation data easier—but it does not replace the need for ongoing communication between your service and the Council. We encourage continuing usual channels of contact, especially around changes or family queries.
