Before you run your first allocation round, we recommend working through the following:
- Identify and resolve any duplicate records in your system
- Confirm that all filters/list views for returning families (TY/NY repeats, deferrals, same-service priority) are referencing the correct fields and returning the right children. Check that children matching these criteria are scoring as expected.
- Review your additional needs list and ensure records are marked as approved or removed as appropriate
- Sense-check that scoring is calculating correctly by filtering highest to lowest — if anything looks off, let us know and we can help correct it
- Set up or review your NY Siblings report to help identify siblings who should be placed at the same service or in the same program
- Complete any other data verification tasks required (i.e. proof of birth, residency checks, etc)
- Confirm allocation round dates and any cutoff dates are correctly configured in the organisation module
- Download the allocation engine report before committing allocations for any round
- Check that capacities and repeats are up to date in the programs module
- Mark all test children in the system as CNLR for next year
Don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like us to review any of these with you before you proceed.
