Add or Update a Child's Program Preferences

In order to allocate a child to a program, they must first hold a preference for that program. Generally, a child will be updated with program preferences as a result of a request being sent to the family to submit a program preference form. There may be some instances where you wish to update the program preferences on a families behalf (such as a group change or in the case of a mid year enrolment). In these cases, follow these steps:


  1. From the top menu bar on a child record, access the quick function drop down buttons and select "TY - SUBMIT PROGRAM PREFERENCE" or "NY - SUBMIT PROGRAM PREFERENCE". 
  2. A pre-populated form will open in a new tab, enter the updated program preferences and click "submit". 
  3. When you return to the child record you will see the Program Preference record updated / added with the new program preference. 


Now that the child holds a program preference, you can go ahead and allocate the child using the allocation engine as described here.
