Both the Service and Program Allocation Engines draw on the capacity of programs to manage allocations within the available capacity at a service.
Program Allocations: The program allocation engine uses the Available Capacity for a given program. Available capacity is calculated as:
Available Capacity = (Total Capacity) - (Repeats / Holds)
Service Allocations: The service allocation engine uses the sum of all Available Capacity for any Programs at a given service for a given program Type (eg. 3 Year Old Kindergarten). For example, if Kinder A operates two 3YO programs in 2022, each with an available capacity of 22. The Service Capacity for Kinder A in 2022 for 3YO kinder will be 44.
Capacity can be updated in the Programs module of EnrolNow
- Go to the programs module
- Select the program that you wish to update capacity for
- Edit either the Total Capacity or Repeats/Holds. The Available Capacity will be calculated accordingly.
Note: For organisations who only manage allocations at the service level (eg. council allocations), programs should be set up for each kindergarten and each program type (eg. 3YO Programs / 4YO Programs). These programs should hold the total capacity for all groups at that kindergarten.
