SISO: Extended Care Sign In and Sign Out Reporting processes

This suggested process below is for services using SISO that want to be able to report on children's attendances in Extended Care. It is probably most relevant where parents are invoiced for the extended hours that they utilise.

Educators need to make a consistent note in the Sign In or Sign Out notes section. The note should be a word that relates to their extended care, in this example it is called Banksia. As long as they use Banskia in either sign in our sign out notes for the extended care Program (eg not the regular program) then it will be reported on correctly.

Process Summary

1. Morning Extended Care (eg. called Banksia)
  • Parent drops off child and signs them in as normail
  • Educator signs child out of Eucalypt - add to pickup notes Banksia (see below)

1. Afternoon Extended Care (eg. called Banksia)
  • Educator signs child out of Eucalypt - no note required (do not put Banksia here as this SISO record is in relation to their regular Eucalypt program)
  • Educator signs child bank into Eucalypt and puts BANKSIA in pickup person field (see below)
  • Parent signs child out - no note required

Then using this unique note to Extended Care (eg. Banksia) we can create reports. These reports can be filtered by required day / week etc.

Attendance Reports

1. Extended Care Attendance report by Child
We can add a filter that shows only SISO records that contain the note Banksia. This should be useful for invoicing children and seeing the hours they have utilised in Banksia. It is dependant on the Educators using the process above and notating Banksia in the AM or PM Sign Ins and Outs.

2. Attendance report by Child
Also a full details attendance report may be useful, you may want to use to see a full picture of the child's attendance. This report would enable you to be able to see if a child did attend more than one SISO during that day (but the educator forgot to note Banksia).
