A child's Pre-Prep Priority Cohort is automatically calculated by EnrolNow based on the attributes held on their record. You'll find it in two fields on the child record:
- TY - Pre Prep Priority Cohort (this year)
- NY - Pre Prep Priority Cohort (next year)

Important Note: These cohort fields cannot be edited directly — they are always calculated by the system.
How to change a child's cohort
Because the cohort is calculated, you don't change it directly — you change the underlying attributes that feed the calculation. When you update those attributes on the child's record, the cohort recalculates automatically to reflect the new information.
So if a child's Pre-Prep Priority Cohort doesn't look right, the steps are:
- Check which attributes drive the cohort calculation — these are listed in Auto Calculated: TY - Pre-Prep Priority Cohort value.
- Review those attributes on the child's record and correct any that are missing or inaccurate.
- Save the record — the cohort will recalculate based on the updated attributes.
