Central Enrolments: Changing a child's allocated service

To switch a child from one service to another they will need to hold a preference for the service to which you are moving them.

1. View the child's 'Service Preferences" by clicking on the quick link on the left hand side of a child view. Note, preferences and allocations are unique to each care period. Be sure to look for the preferences related to the care period you are making changes for.

2. If the child does not hold preferences for the service you are wishing to allocate them to you will need to update their waitlist by using the "Change or Defer Waitlist" quick action button on the child record. For more details please on changing or deferring a waitlist click here

3. If the child holds a preference for the service you are wishing to allocate them to, select the service preference by clicking on the Service Preference Name or the edit pencil

4. Update the service preference statuses to reflect the changes you want to make. For example, in the example shown the child is currently allocated to his first preference, Kinder A and will be moving to Kinder B. Service Pref 1 Status (related to Kinder A) will be updated to Not Required. Service Pref 2 Status (related to Kinder B) will be updated to Allocated. Note: Remember to click the green tick to confirm your change after you have made it.

When you return to the child record you will see that the service allocated has been updated as well as the related service details on the child record. If the child had been allocated to a program you will need to ensure you now resubmit preferences for programs associated with the new service and allocate accordingly.
